The multi award winning Live From Jodrell Bank event series has today released details regarding their next Transmission from the Jodrell Bank Observatory in Cheshire. Confirmed to headline the event are Sigur Rós, who will take to the stage in the shadow of the world famous Lovell Telescope.
The much celebrated Icelandic four piece ambient, post rock band, have been a pioneering force in both a global sense and more so back home in their native country. Their immensely beautiful songs are pure, honest and timeless and their live shows have received international critical acclaim. The band has a rich recording history with a total of six studio albums. Their live shows are often augmented by impressive visuals and light shows, which makes them the perfect booking for the Jodrell Bank Live series which makes full use of the iconic Lovell Telescope through projections and visuals.
