It may be nearing the end of summer, but this definitely doesn’t mean you’ll be starved of good quality days and nights out around the capital in the coming months. Lock N Load have a plethora of exciting dates lined up for August through to October, and it all kicks off on August bank holiday weekend on Clapham Common, when South West Four will dominate the green seeing a host of electronic music artists play at what is one of the leading dance music festivals in the UK. Also, throughout October there are further appearances around London from mouth-watering brands and artists including Bedrock, Andy C and UKF.
South West Four
Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th August
Featuring one of the most diverse line ups the UK has to offer, South West Four welcomes near to 100 high profile artists to play across 2 days and 4 stages, some of which are hosted by the likes of Mistajam, Sasha, Maceo Plex, DJ Mag, Eats Everything and Capital Xtra. House and techno is fully weaponized by DJs likes Loco Dice, Bicep, Robert Dietz, Marco Carola, Seth Troxler and Maya Jane Coles, whereas trance and big room is taken care of by artists including Above & Beyond, W&W, Arty, Alesso, Aly & Fila and Super8 & Tab. With stints of D&B and urban sounds too there is something for everyone and the fun doesn’t stop when the common goes quiet. South West More continues into the night on Saturday at The Electric Brixton, and to help see you back through to the early hours are more top quality underground performers that include Circo Loco resident Matthias Tanzmann, techno stalwarts Nicole Moudaber and Timo Mass, technical wizard James Zabiela and to top it off you have international superstar and one half of Deep Dish, Dubfire.

There are few British music labels that live up to the stature of John Digweed and Nick Muir’s Bedrock imprint, and this year it is celebrating 16 years of being at the forefront of electronic music. Over the years it has seen EPs, LPs, mix CDs and live albums featuring artists of the ilk of Steve Lawler, Marco Bailey, Guy J, Henry Saiz and Vincenzo amongst a ton of others. On Saturday the 4th of October, Lock N Load is hosting a very special Bedrock 16 party that will be headlined by the label’s spearhead John Digweed. Expect techno that is melodic, progressive and hard-hitting all at once from the seasoned selector, and as well as Digweed there are also a number of special guests who are yet to be announced.
UKF 5th Birthday

Starting as a Youtube channel and since growing into one of the most popular British bass institutions around, UKF has long strived to showcase the best in drum & bass, dubstep, house and electro to all corners of the UK. Now spread over 5 channels, UKF has expanded to putting on parties and co-hosting festival stages all around the country as well as recording their podcast series that has now welcomed over 50 reputable artists. On October the 10th, UKF will be celebrating their 5th birthday at Building Six in London, and have invited along some great guests to provide music for the night. Headlining the affair are Camo & Krooked, a duo who have appeared on UKF’s channel many times with tracks such as ‘History Of The Future’ and ‘All Night’. Their jump up drum & bass is powerful and energetic, and will also be backed by a performance from Wilkinson, another star in the D&B scene who has also seen chart success with his single ‘Afterglow’. Also joining these performers will be Kove, Toyboy & Robin amongst many more.
Lock N Load Presents Deep Dish

Not so long ago we were presented with the news that the once separated duo that is Deep Dish would be reuniting and embarking on a worldwide tour to celebrate the pairs revival. Now on the 25th of October, Deep Dish’s hugely anticipated return to the UK will finally be upon us, and this exciting reappearance will be taking place at London’s Electric Ballroom. Deep Dish is the couple consisting of the Grammy award winning house and techno stalwarts Dubfire and Sharam, who have both together and separately produced some of the most impressive electronic music of today, these include Sharam’s recent peak time bomb Tripi and Dubfire’s main room techno weapon Exit. Together, their musical knowledge, technical proficiency and love for great music will no doubt result in one of the most memorable electronic music performances of the year.
Andy C All Night Long
In the world of drum & bass there are few icons of the same calibre as Andy C, and on Friday the 31st of October ‘The Executioner’ himself will be playing a very special all night long set at The O2 Academy Brixton. As the head honcho of RAM Records and the winner of over 40 awards he is a highly revered name by all DJs on the scene, and has also released his fair share of music on labels like Liftin Spirit and Drum & Bass arena, the latter of which also released two mix albums both compiled by Andy. To see the mix master perform an all night long set in the surroundings of the exemplary Brixton O2 Academy will be something else.
