Digbeth’s flagship music destination The Rainbow Venues is celebrating its birthday on Saturday the 4th of April as the club enters Chapter XI. For years The Rainbow Venues has strived to provide its own unique multi room clubbing experience, attracting some of the worlds most respected clubbing imprints to host nights in one or more of their vastly different venues. Aside from guest promoters, The Rainbow Venues has also been (and still is) home to a selection of loyal local events that have gone down in history as some of the best in the country, some of these being the hugely respected Below as well as Blackdot and Resonate.
To celebrate another year of superb parties The Rainbow Venues will be hosting a special knees up that will span over almost all of the rooms that The Rainbow currently operates, whilst also welcoming two new areas to their ever expanding empire. Each room will see a host promoter inviting their own line up, each looking to hold an awesome array of world-class music. The Arena will be hosted by Blackdot who have employed the talents of Desolat co-owner Loco Dice as well as the techno giant Ben Klock and Hector. Why Notz and Stephanie Sykes round off the line up here, however there is also a special guest who will be announced closer to the event.
House heads Portal lead the charge in The Warehouse where VIVa MUSiC boss Steve Lawler will headline proceedings, joined by label mate Robert Dietz and Hot Creations favourites Richy Ahmed and Patrick Topping. Things also take a housey turn in The Garden as FACE and Portal bring you a rally of superb British artists in Bicep, Daniel Avery, Paul Woolford and Ejeca. As if that wasn’t enough, the variety spreads as 02:31 and Seedy Sonics open up The Basement with a hoard of garage greats that include Shadow Child, DJ Zinc, T. Williams and Tom Shorterz. Finally, DMZ label co-owner Loefah together with Benton, Chunky and Klose One christen The Arch.
We are sure you will agree this is one hell of a way to celebrate another year of parties at The Rainbow Venues, offering a wide range of guests to suit anyone who has partied at the club over the years. The party will kick off a midday, ending at 2am.
