The Techno and Drum & Bass stalwarts are the final acts to be added to The Social Festival's 2016 lineup.
The Social has established itself as one of the best festivals for dance music in the South since its inaugural year in 2013. Now spread over two days with The Winter Social also happening at the beginning of the year, The Social Festival invites over 40 artists to play across six stages, with this years instalment coming on the 9th and 10th of September.
The line up for this year’s festival was announced a few weeks ago, with a huge number of house and techno talent set to perform. In a new twist for the festival this year will also see a fourth stage on the Saturday fronting everything from D&B to garage, with a similarly strong line up landing here.
The Social has just announced two more names that will be taking to Kent’s Country Showground in Loco Dice and Goldie. Appearing on the Bamboo Village stage on Friday, Loco Dice will deliver his dance floor ready tech house in the way only he knows how. Opting for several deck mixing and utilizing effects to the full, Loco Dice is known for constructing his own peaks and troughs in energy, with his most recent album throwing himself outside the box, making for some interesting club play. Goldie is the second and final new announcement, with the British jungle legend also appearing at The Bamboo Village arena, this time on Saturday. He is undoubtedly one of the most prominent DJs in the genre and will bring some serious noise to The Social to finish off the weekend.
Mixmag will be hosting two stages throughout the weekend with the likes of Sasha, John Digweed, Nic Fanciulli. Andrew Weatherall, Paranoid London, Tom Trago, Carl Cox, Solomun, Richy Ahmed and Hot Since 82 playing for these guys. Other highlights over the weekend include Laurent Garnier, Dubfire, Pan-Pot, Bicep, Mind Against, DJ Zinc, LTJ Bukem, High Contrast and Gerd Janson.
