The Forum in London will be hosting the world DMC DJ finals on Saturday the 4th of October, which will set the best from the rest when it comes to cutting, scratching and doing other unbelievable things with a set of turntables.
Since the first competition in 1985, contenders have battled it out to become the best in the DMC business, with the likes of Mr. Switch, DJ Fly, DJ Rafiq, DJ Cash Money, DJ A-Trak and DJ Craze all having won the championship, some a number of times.
The prize for the winning DJ has traditionally been a pair of gold Technics 1210’s, which have gone down in history as some of the most valuable turntables to have ever been made, with only a very few pairs in existence.
With a number of DMC Championships taking place all over the globe, the UK instalment is one of the highlights in the world calendar and will involve a number of workshops that will run alongside the main competition itself. With the nominees yet to be announced, the lost is still yet to be narrowed down, however a number of previous champions will be returning to battle it out once more, meaning things will definitely get exciting.
