After a summer away from their usual monthly Mint Club parties, the Leeds Louche faithful will have been overjoyed to see the brand return this September but unfortunately it isn't all smiles as the sad news that the upcoming 5 parties will be the last in Leeds surfaces.
Here is a little message from residents and founders Josh T and Brinsley Kazak to their loyal fans, and below are videos from just a couple of our favourite Louche parties from recent years.
“Over our 6 years of running parties in this town we've booked everyone from Nicolas Jaar to Omar S, from Moodymann to Seth Troxler, from Zip to Ben UFO and beyond. We've met some amazing friends and forged unforgettable good times and memories. So it saddens us to say, that this season will be our last; we're moving on in search of new discos and adventures. We can't say thanks enough to the people who have contributed and danced with us over the years, you've made the Louche Experience as enjoyable and interesting as we could of hoped for.”
Kicking off the beginning of the end for Louche in Leeds on September 28th, Fred P (AKA Black Jazz Consortium) will be bringing an extended set of his famously deep and hypnotic selections to Mint Club (for his third Louche appearance). The following lineups are still to be released but keep your eyes out for some Louche favourites and make sure you put these dates in your diary to bid your farewells to one of Leeds greatest parties.
