The Faversham has been one of Leeds’ staple music venues for a number of years, with its student nights, terrace parties and club events all being shining stars on the Leeds clubbing calendar.
To kick off the academic year, there will be a new party coming to The Fav on Friday 2nd October. Maasai’s very good looking opening party is set to take place at the beginning of next month, with the brand returning at a selection of Leeds venues with special guests and residents on rotation ensuring fresh music at every party.
The first event will see French techno maestro Citizen Kain headlining proceedings, a DJ whose tracks on Neverending have captured the attention of techno’s foremost players. The second guest will be in the form of Circus resident David Glass. Not only has David cemented his reputation through regular slots at one of the most esteemed music institutions in the country, he has also fathomed an impressive number of tracks for labels such as Witty Tunes and Robsoul.
Accompanying the guests will be local selectors Ethan McNamara and James Hicks, the first of whom has acquired an impressive record collection through his keen taste in the rare and the underground, whilst the latter holds a residency at local knees up Peekaboo. Maasai residents Tim Byford, Alex Todd and Rob Hill will be on rotation throughout the season. As a bonus incentive, 15% of ticket sales will go to charity.
