Lovebox will be making its 14th outing this summer as it returns to Victoria Park in London for 2 days of music which will feature some of the biggest artists in the game. Having initially been set up by Groove Armada pairing Andy Cato and Tom Findlay, Lovebox has gone on to become of the most popular events in the festival season with 2016 set to be another stand out year. The 2-day festival stretches from the 15th-16th of July.
Set to headline this year’s festival are 2 of the biggest and most influential names in electronic music that has emerged from the USA. The first headliner revealed is super group Major Lazer who will be seeing this off on the Friday night. With 3 full length LPs under their belt, Major Lazer have become one of the most in demand groups in recent years thanks to their energetic live show and cutting edge production. With a back catalogue of festival ready hits, expect super producer Diplo and the rest of Major Lazer to put on a show for Lovebox.
Heading things up on the Saturday will be one of the most influential bands to emerge from New York in recent years as James Murphy and LCD Soundsystem bring their brand of electronica to Victoria Park. With the release of their critically acclaimed eponymous first album in 2005, the band were thrust into the limelight off the back of such indie dance floor filler such as “Daft Punk Is Playing In My House”. The New York band are set to release their 4th studio album in 2016 however full details are yet to be revealed.
