Chris Davids and Liam Ivory, also known as Maribou State, hail from a picturesque village in Hertfordshire and came together at university after discovering they had a shared passion for electronic music. After involvement with bands and a remix for Hadouken at the age of 16, Maribou State was formed in 2011 with their debut Habitat being released on Fat Cat Records.
5 years later and Maribou State are now loved internationally for their eclectic original music as well as a heap of remixes for the likes of Kelis, Lianne La Havas, Fatboy Slim and Lana De Rey. From the US to Australia and all over the UK, the boys have been touring the world playing both live and DJ sets, most notably at Glastonbury Festival.
2016 will see Maribou State embarking on their Drama Drama UK tour, with dates in Leeds and Manchester both confirmed. Each date will see Chris and Liam performing a DJ set alongside specially curated line-ups of artists the pair have worked with or simply admire.
The Leeds date will take place at The Faversham on Friday 19th Feb and the Liverpool gig will be at The Shipping Forecast on Friday 4th March.
