Fresh onto the Leeds scene, MASS will be taking up residence of their new home of Freedom Mills May 14th, inviting along Rex Club Resident Molly and Leeds selector Jack Wickham for the house warming. Put together by a small group of promoters, MASS brings together DJs who are international favourites, local stars and yet to be unearthed talent.
Heading up the bill on Saturday will be Molly, the Parisian Rex Club resident who has built her reputation through her all encompassing taste in intricate house and techno, which has been emphasised through her own releases on record labels like All Inn and Radio Slave’s Rekids imprint. Having played as a resident at her hometown’s most prolific nightclub for several years, she has honed a style hugely reflective of the French sound, gaining her recent slots at Robert Johnson, Panorama Bar, and Club Der Visionaire.
Joining Molly will be Jack Wickham, the Leeds export who has become an internationally recognised selector through consistent production that explores the dubby sides of both house and techno. This consistency has found Jack on One Records, Drumma and most recently State Of Flow, the label and party spearheaded by Igor Vicente, which resides at Fuse club. At a very young age Jack has honed his own sound and already checked off many of the worlds most prolific clubs including Watergate, Output and Fabric amongst many others.
MASS will also be introducing three of its residents at this first party, in the form of seasoned Leeds DJs Ethan McNamara, Lijero and Wheatley.
