Maverick Sabre is the R&B star behind huge chart hits like ‘Let Me Go’, as well as being a well known collaborator with the likes of Chase & Status and Professor Green, with whom he has also made a large impact on the UK Singles charts. Now on Wednesday the 22nd of October Maverick Sabre will be descending on Manchester to play a special one night only gig at The Ritz with a number of special guests.
Maverick Sabre was born in Hackney in London, and after a short stint living in Ireland he came back to the capital to pursue a career in rap music. After collaborating with the likes of Terawrizt, Nu-Centz, Johnnyboy and Intox, Maverick began to make a name for himself and started to appear in the charts through tracks such as ‘Jungle’ and his own ‘Let Me Go’ that was his first damage-doing release, debuting at number 16 in the top 40.
Sabre was also well known for his cover of Oasis’ ‘Wonderwall that was first performed on Radio 1 as part of Chris Moyles’ Comic Relief show that led to his debut single receiving lot of love. This year Maverick Sabre is working on a studio album, and has so far released two music videos that will likely be featuring on the long player.
The Ritz is known for being one of the most iconic destinations to enjoy live music in the city of Manchester, having played host to the likes of R.E.M, Snow Patrol and The Smiths in past years. Now it is the turn of Maverick Sabre to take to The Ritz’s stage and show the city what he can do.
There will also a number of special guests who will be performing alongside Maverick Sabre, however these are still yet to be announced.
