The Leeds based club night and music magazine Mavrik are continuing their exciting running of parties at top subterranean party spot Wire next month, after their last few gatherings have proved to be great nights with great music aplenty. Since they started out throwing their own events after hosting the second rooms for other reputable nights like Metropolis, Mavrik have invited the likes of Ben Sun, Miles Simpson and most recently the hefty electronic duo Simian Mobile Disco to headline proceedings alongside their trusty residents.
For their fourth instalment at Wire, Mavrik have employed the talents of American DJ, producer and the mind behind Beats In Space, Tim Sweeney. Most well known for his influential radio show that started all the way back in 1999, Sweeney is one of New York’s finest selectors and incredibly has not missed a single week of his show since it first went on air. A who’s who of electronic music has featured in episodes of Beats In Space and every time we have got the chance to see Tim play, he’s thoroughly impressed. With the label blurring lines between indie and electronic music you can expect to hear a wide variety of sounds ranging from fresh new cuts to rare oldies.
