Studio 24 is a relatively new venue to Leeds and has up until now stages some great clubbing events that have made it one of the best new venues in the city. The space will once again be under the control of Midnight Club on Saturday the 11th of June as their next live event comes in to host Glass Caves, Shadow Quartet and Kumiko.
Glass Caves will be stopping by on their UK tour coinciding with the release of their new single Alive, which hit the shelves earlier this year, having already appeared in the Spotify Viral Chart. The Pontefract 5-piece fuses yo-yoing guitars with keyboards and agitated rhythms, with vocals that echo alternative bands like Fleet Foxes and Local Natives.
Supporting Glass Caves will be Shadow Quartet, who will be producing jazzy sounds reminiscent of Chico Hamilton’s Conquistadores. Also supporting is Kumiko, the new Leeds based band that is a spin off from the Mariachi/Kraut rock group, ijomojo. There will also be DJs filling in between performances with Shine’s Mark Alexander and Nathan Loynes from Gud Vibes stepping up here.
