Following on from last week’s selection, featuring one our favourite all time DJs (Move D), this week we turn to an ‘up and comer’ who has become one of our newest loves in the past couple of years thanks to some huge releases and of course some killer sets, it is of course; Midland.
Harry Agius (aka Midland) has come to the fore massively over the past few years with releases on Naked Naked, Works The Long Night, Aus Music and more, including collaborations with Breach and Pariah. Most recently, his Trace EP has been doing serious damage on floors all over the globe and impressive sets at the likes of Panorama Bar, The Warehouse Project, his residency at Zutekh and a really special b2b Boiler Room session with Paul Woolford have solidified him as a scene favourite for many. It is his incredible 3 hour (05:30 - 08:30) set from Sub:stance at Panorama Bar earlier this year that we have selected for this week’s MOTW.
If you’re based in the north of England, then you’re lucky enough to have Midland playing twice in your region over the coming week. Thursday 28th March sees Midland play for Skreamizm at The Warehouse Project and Sunday 31st March sees Canal Mills, Wax:On and mono_cult host the Aus Music man for a special set in the courtyard at Canal Mill’s first day-night party.
Tickets are available, but in short supply, for both these events. If you wish to attend either of them, grab your tickets at the links below and get these 3 hours of deepness in your ears in preparation.
