Lincoln will welcome a special lineup to town for New Year’s Eve, as MK, Hannah Wants and more guest at the Moda party at Engine Shed. Also featuring Darius Syrossian and Jaymo & Andy George, the night will see 2016 come to an end with one of Lincoln’s biggest parties of the year.
US house legend MK needs little introduction, having remixed tracks for some of music’s global powers. Lending a hand to Celine Dion, Betty Boo, Lana Del Ray and a party-full of other big names, Marc Kinchen has made his MK alias a household name, his own tracks “Always” and “Love Changes” also reaching the top spot in the US Billboard Hot Dance Music chart in 1993 and 1994. A man behind many iconic edits, he will have had no little influence on his fellow performers on the night, and will extend his lessons in house music to the art of DJing as he tops the bill for Lincoln’s big night out.
A fresher face having only recently risen to similar heights, Hannah Wants is another mega-DJ who has become a major player in dance music thanks to her strong personality and love of jacking house. Now drawing a crowd regardless of where and when she plays, the smart money says she’ll have Engine Shed packed out this NYE.
Former Sankeys resident Darius Syrossian is another name on the lineup that will have people clamouring for tickets, his funky tech house having wowed crowds for many years. That leaves us looking square on at an inevitable sell-out night in Lincoln, so don’t hang around if you want to snare yourself a spot at what is unquestionably the city’s best New Year’s Eve party.
