Module is Newcastle’s answer to house and techno, with their next show shaping up to be one of their biggest to date. Over the past few years Module have been building their reputation with a strong residency at Digital in Newcastle and also at Think Tank, both of which are renowned as two of the cities best nightclubs. On June 10th the North East will welcome Dubfire to Digital for one of his legendary DJ sets.
Dubfire is not only a revered artist in his own right, but he is also one half of the live duo Deep Dish who made their comeback last year thanks to a huge demand. As a solo performer, Dubfire’s dark techno never disappoints. His back catalogue has been built up to a fearsome size over the years. With his own label SCI + TEC putting out most of his own material, this also provides a platform for other artists whom he has signed to the label too, including Steve Lawler, Carlo Lio and Paul Ritch.
Recently Dubfire has been showcasing his Hybrid show which sees a live performance strengthened by an awesome visual show, something that will be incorporated into his DJ performance at Digital with the clubs huge LED screens. After Module has built up its reputation solely from having local DJs and residents play, rarely bringing in international guests, this is no doubt going to be their biggest party yet and one for the books.
