The mono_cult New Years Day parties at The Faversham have become some of the most anticipated on the calendar and there’s no wonder why bringing in the likes of Art Department, Ame, Soul Clap, Damian Lazarus, Simon Baker and The Mole over the past few years. It’s not just the music that makes these events so special though, the mono_cult crew putting huge effort into kitting out the venue with decor, marquee’d outside stages, extra production and more which always adds to something extra to the experience. Thanks to mono_cult, over the years, NYD in Leeds has well and truly become the day to party, comfortably putting the old traditions of New Years Eve in their place and if you’ve never been to one of these parties feast your eyes on this great footage from last year’s party to see what you’ve been missing.
Henrik Schwarz
Heading up the lineup is one of four artists on the bill who have recently featured in the Resident Advisor Top 100 DJs of 2012/Top 20 Live Acts of 2012 polls; Henrik Schwarz. The man from southern Germany has has great success with his live show this year, taking in shows all across the globe, with his performance at Sonar still positively ringing in the ears of many. The hard work and dedication of the Innervisions mainstay was rewarded recently when voted into number 6 of the RA Top 20 Live Acts. Henrik’s live performance on NYD will be a true spectacle - get warmed up with this incredible appearance in the Boiler Room.
Jackmaster
In a world where every tom, dick or harry are producing tracks in their bedroom in the hope of getting a DJ gig - it’s great to still have people like Jackmaster flying the flag for DJs.
"The reason that I'm not really producing music is because I just think that at the moment, I'd be doing it for the wrong reasons. You shouldn't make music with the objective of furthering your career as a DJ, or to become famous. Too many people are doing that these days I think. I'll make music when I feel that I need to do it as a means of expressing myself."

The Numbers man has worked his way from record shop floor to where he his now, at the height of the Scottish underground scene and bringing it to a worldwide audience. Expect an eclectic set aimed specifically at the party.
Bicep
Irish duo, Bicep have been making waves for some time now and for us have been amongst the most consistent producers of the year with releases like the Vision Of Love EP and the You/Don’t EP. In fact, their free give away track, Feel It, has become one of our favourites.
It all started running a blog for Bicep, but don’t think they can’t hold their own behind the decks. Their sets up and down the country, and overseas, this year have been incredibly well received and their bouncing 90s sound will be perfect for a special NYD knees up.
