Since mono_cult made the move to the capital they have brought the likes of Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, Barnt, Hunee and Genius of Time to The Dance Tunnel, which has served as their long-term London home since the brands first party there a few years ago.
Although mono_cult has now fully departed from its northern home of Leeds, the London parties are still going strong and will continue to do so through line-ups like this one that sees Italian selector Nick Anthony Simoncino playing alongside local talent Bobby Pleasure.
With over 10,000 records, Nick Simoncino has been a purveyor of building his collection of Chicago house, Detroit techno and 80’s garage for over a decade. As well as being fully seasoned behind a set of turntables, Nick is also an established producer with releases on L.I.E.S, Thug Records and Bosconi. His own vinyl label HotMix is another standout project Simoncino is always working at as its back catalogue now contains releases from Gene Hunt, Lerosa, Seas Sanders and Kurt Baggaley.
Bobby Pleasure is a sought after Londoner who built his reputation playing at a number of local haunts including The Horse & Groom, where he’s played for Death on the Balcony’s party Emmanuelle’s Party Bucket a number of times. The past year as been especially important for Bobby as he found himself among the 20/20 Vision family, the record label owned by Back To Basics resident Ralph Lawson, however this year is looking even more exciting for the young DJ.
Mono_Cult residents Matt Long and Brad Mercer will also play, ensuring the high quality remains throughout the night.
