Over the next two months, MUSIKA in Edinburgh sees as host of exciting artists come to The Caves and The Liquid Room, one of which to celebrate 7 years of parties, with Sasha, Ame, Scuba (pictured), Paul Woolford and more all confirmed by the Scottish promoters.
After a sold out party last year which saw electronic dance music pioneer Sasha play an intimate set at The Caves, due to popular demand the Last Night On Earth label boss is returning to Edinburgh this year to help MUSIKA celebrate 7 years of parties. Sasha’s ability to read a crowd and play with their emotions has made him an iconic DJ in his own right. He has in the past couple of years formed an imprint named ‘Last Night On Earth’. This has been a strong platform to release exciting new electronic music from himself and a number of artists that include ThermalBear, Hot Chip, Hunter_Game and Bonobo.
Sasha will be travelling to The Caves in Edinburgh on 19th April to showcase his ‘Last Night On Earth’ label with one of it’s key artists and another homegrown UK hero, Simon Baker. Hailing from Leeds in England, Simon Baker has a host of releases on labels like 20:20 Vision, Rekids, Cocoon and Crosstown Rebels. His releases on Last Night On Earth have been played by Sable Sheep and Lee Van Dowski amongst others and he has appeared on line ups with Sasha many times before including his Last Night On Earth NYE party.
MUSIKA 7th Birthday Tickets are on sale now. Tickets are into their final release so don’t hang about as spaces are limited.
Next on the list is MUSIKA’s Innervisions showcase with Âme. Founded in 2005 by RA’s Number 1 DJ Dixon (2014) and fellow German duo Âme, Innervisions is a Berlin based music label which has fronted some of the biggest tracks from the past year. Agoria’s ‘Scala’ was played by many, as was Ten Walls ‘Gotham’ which proved to be one of the biggest tracks in Ibiza last summer, appearing in everyone’s record box from Steve Lawler to Sven Väth.
On Sunday 4th May, Âme will be showcasing their Innervisions label in the intimate surroundings of The Caves in Edinburgh.
MUSIKA Innervisions Tickets are available now. Due to The Caves limited capacity, tickets for this event are likely to sell out, so we recommend getting yours as soon as possible.
Finally Paul Rose, more commonly known as Scuba will also be bringing his label Hotflush Recordings to The Liquid Room in Edinburgh as MUSIKA host a MUSIKA Vs Exit event. Alongside Scuba will be Leeds based artist Paul Woolford who has been responsible for another one of the biggest tracks of the year ‘Untitled’.
On Bank Holiday Sunday 10th May, Scuba and Paul Woolford will be bringing the Hotflush heat to throw MUSIKA’s Exit Festival party at The Liquid Room in Edinburgh.
