Leeds’ month long culinary festival, Leeds Indie Food continues to bolster it’s already packed schedule with appetite enticing events that are set to run over the course of May. The festival sees a number of the cities restaurants, bars, cafes host their own events which including everything from cooking master classes with some of the city’s top food personalities to coffee tasting sessions. The festival runs from the 12th - 30th May and will feature 130 events taking place across the city.
A selection of the new events added include Boozing and Bar Snacks, Thai Style, which as you can imagine, offers a taste of drinking Thai Style topped off with a selection of salty and spicy bar snacks at Leeds’ Bangwok street food restaurant. Vegan Best Before Bistro will consist of wild foraged food intertwined with the ingredients intercepted by Leeds Junk Food café, cooking up a special supper whilst tackling the problem of food waste. The vegetarian events keep on coming with a Vegetarian Tapas Evening at Ambiente Tapas situated on the river Aire.
If you fancy yourself as a bit of a coffee connoisseur, then La Bottega’s Coffee and Cocktails fusion experience may be for you as their skilled baristas will guide you through the steps of conjuring some interesting alcoholic concoctions. Think you know your Wensleydale from your Gorgonzola? Why not check out David Vs Goliath which will see the big names in the world of cheese pitted against lesser known strains in a blind tasting session to decide who reigns supreme.
