Ever since bass payer, Peter Hook left New Order in 2007, the band have been surrounded by controversy and problems (most with Hook right at the centre). However, with their huge world tour under way and news of brand new material set to surface from the band, things are definitely on the up.
Earlier this year saw the release of the outtakes from the 2005 Waiting For The Siren's session however, more recently the Manchester outfit have announced details of brand music – initially set for release in the form of a group of EPs.
Frontman Bernard Sumner has said the EPs would be synchronised with their world tour, explaining ”We’re thinking about doing about four songs at once, we’ve never tried it before.”, and ”then we’ll probably (assemble them) as an album”.
As part of their 2013 world tour, New Order will be joined by Johnny Marr, The Whip and Hot Vestry on Sunday 7th July for an epic day and night show at the iconic Jodrell Bank Observatory. Tickets Available below.
