No Way Back is a brand new series of events that will be launching on Friday the 22nd of May at Mint Warehouse, which will be teleporting dancers back to the golden age of house and disco through select guests and rallies of exciting local talent who are more than ready to get the dance floor going.
Spread over Mint Warehouse’s three rooms there will be a number of residents representing some of the best local events and brands in Leeds, with Haydn Porter, J-Cub, Tristan Kelly, Foz, Katumba, Anthony Dobson, Steve Hawkins, Malcolm WeLove, Lucy Locket and many more forming the bready foundations, ready to be buttered.
And who is it, we hear you ask, that will be descending upon No Way Back as the creamy, golden butter to raise this to the next level. Look no further than Dimitri From Paris and Horse Meat Disco. This doubling of disco deviants have a never ending line of irresistible disco edits and originals, with Dimitri From Paris’ seminal ‘A Night At The Playboy Mansion’ mix gaining him fans from all over the world. This French disco legend is truly passionate about the music he makes and it shows behind the decks as he has wowed crowds all over the globe. Having produced music for Björk, The Brand New Heavies and New Order, he is not just well travelled behind a set of decks and has also been hired by fashion designers such as Gaultier and Chanel to put together soundtracks for their shows.
Horse Meat Disco is the London DJ collective who have churned out some seriously impressive mix CDs over the past few years, with their low slung synth heavy edits proving winners on dance floors up and down the country. Put these 2 headliners with all the superb local talent that will be joining them and you have quite a party.
