Birthday celebrations will be in full swing as Overflow return to Wire on the 25th of March bringing drum and bass colossus DJ Hazard to the basement for to mark their third year in the business. The Brummie-born resident at Fabric’s Playaz night has risen through the ranks to take an undisputed heavy-weight ranking, and will call on releases from a densely packed back-catalogue as he serves up a heart-pumping selection in the murky depths of Overflow’s underground home.
Joining him in whipping up a storm is the legendary MC Biggie, another veteran of Birmingham’s Kool FM. Now a graduate of Birmingham City University’s Popular Music course, and working as a music technology teacher back, Overflow will be hoping he’s in the mood to impart some wisdom as he sets the curriculum aside for the evening and teams up with Hazard once again.
Lurch, the Bristol-based creator of liquid drum and bass, will also be in festive mood, as he and the Overflow residents complete the bill. For those wanting to get in on the action and enjoy this lineup blessed with talents new and old.
