Kendal Calling’s ‘Calling Out Stage’ is no doubt one of the most exciting stages at the festival, which returns to Lowther Deer Park at the end of July. The three headliners for this stage have been announced, with each one bringing their individual sound to a line up that is already bursting with talent.
On the Friday, the Calling Out Stage will be headlined by the indie breakthrough sensations Blossoms, before The Libertines and Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty brings his range of acoustic numbers. Sunday night will be headed up by the multi tallented Ghostpoet, who will be demonstrating why he has two albums nominated for the mercury prize in recent years.
In support of these three class acts who headline the stage across the weekend, the likes of Pale Waves, electro indie outfit The Slow Readers Club, Model Aeroplanes, Actor, punk-edged pop band Fizzy Blood, Hidden Charms and the five-piece Bulletproof Bomb will be supporting on each day. Further additions to the Main Stage at Kendal Calling come in the form of the all-female rock band PINS, who hail from Manchester, not to mention Declan McKenna, who at the age of 16 has rocketed to being one of the most sought after new acts. Prize winning poet JB Barrington will also be bringing his rap style of wit to the largest stage at the festival, no doubt making as a great addition for the spoken word fans out there.
Also joining the line up are The Sherlocks, The Jacques, Molly Warburton, Young Jack, Foreign Fox, local band The Lancashire Hotpots, Casanova and finally the stunning vocalist JJ Rosa.
