Promised Land has been throwing parties in London for 12 years this year, with the birthday celebration coming on Bank Holiday Sunday the 29th of May at their home of Egg in London. As they are known for respecting their history, Promised Land have invited some of the worlds most revered house music artists to play at this knees up to usher in the 13th year, with a whole five rooms of music in action from 9pm right through until 8am.
In the main room, which has been given an exciting revamp, will be alive with sounds from between 1987 and 1995, with Fast Eddie putting in a very special acid house set and Live PA, as well as one of house music’s founding fathers, Marshall Jefferson. Known for his seminal track Move Your Body, he will be coming over from Chicago to do what he does best. London’s Terry Farley and Brandon Block will also be playing, as well as one of the UKs original techno DJs Colin Dale and much more.
The basement will be hosting music from the following nice years, between 1997 and 2006, here represented by Soulavengerz, Phil Drummond, Nick Power, Mario Cee, Nico De Funksta and more. Smokin Jo, Arkoss, DJ Mets, Lola and other will be playing up front house on the terrace, whilst The Loft makes was for some 80’s and 90’s Funk, Soul and Disco. Here the music will be provided by Huck Finn, Tony Castle, T Magic and Mr Eano amongst a number of others. Finally, The Apothecary will be serving up something a little different as Jumpin Jack Frost celebrates his birthday with some jungle and D&B. Shut Up and Dance, Squirrel, Ellis Dee, EZM, Rory D, Special Branch and Sense will be playing here.
