RaiseTheRoof returns to Vox next February for ‘Beyond Space’, A Festival Of Imagination

After the huge success of their last event at Vox, Leeds in October, Raisetheroof returns to the warehouse space for another installment of live music, DJing, guerilla theatrics and costumed tomfoolery, all based around a typically surreal interstellar adventures theme.

Ska and reggae champions The Beat are billed to headline the event with an hour long set from the full 10 piece band. Supporting acts on the night will include the explosive pop quartet Middleman, an extended DJ set from the infamous Dub Pistols, with a live performance from Nubiyan Twist, bringing their much loved hip-hop/afro-beat sound to Leeds’ Vox Warehouse. Another act on the lineup that has been gaining a lot of appreciation of late is unsigned gem, Benson - straight up rock & roll with a killer horn section. Think Madness and you’re not far off, the perfect way to open up proceedings.

Filling in the gaps between the numerous live acts scheduled to perform will be a wide selection of DJs from Gin and Juice, No-TiTLE Magazine, Dub Family Robinson and Wolfie Razmatazz - playing the best in old school hip-hip, dub-step, rocksteady, breakbeat, 2-tone, dub, roots, reggae and loads more.

If you need any more persuading, beyond the music they’ll be plenty to keep you busy, from live graffiti art to free photobooths. Tickets are expected to sell quickly so please buy in advance to avoid disappointment.
