With only 4 months to wait until Reading Festival & Leeds Festival (take over Brahman Park and Richfield Avenue, a further 70+ acts have just been announced for the weekend, including English indie rockers Palma Violets, live dubstep band Modestep, Twin Atlantic, Parquet Courts and many many more.
On the main stage alt-J, Drenge, FIDLAR and The Cribs will join the likes of All Time Low, Kendrick Lamar and of course the trio of headliners in The Libertines, Mumford & Sons and Metallica. There will also be a special guest appearance from an all-female Japanese metal band BABYMETAL who will be opening the stage on Saturday at Reading and on Sunday in Leeds.
Looking away from the main stage, the NME/Radio 1 Stage has also has a large helping of new guests as the likes of Twin Atlantic, Deadmau5, Echosmith, Parquet Courts, Rebel Sound (Chase & Status, Shy FX, Rage and David Rodigan), Gorgon City and Jamie XX join the bill, whilst the dance stage welcomes an uproar of electronic greats such as house hero MK and techno innovator Kevin Saunderson, not to mention other appearances from Boy Better Know, Blonde Live, Snakehips, Jacob Plant, Secondcity and Rustie.
The Lock Up Stage & The Pit are not left out either as The Bots, Modern Baseball, Youth Man, The Smith Street Band, PVRIS, And So I Watch From Afar and Atreyu all join the line up spread across the weekend. Urban giants Tempa T, Ms Dynamite, Kiko Bun and Loyle Carner provide backing on the BBC 1Xtra Stage and finally, the Festival Republic Stage will welcome Little Comets, Eliza And The Bear, Saint Raymond and Mini Mansions.
There are still lots of announcements to come with The Alternative and BBC Introducing Stages yet to be unveiled for Reading & Leeds.
