As one of the rising stars of Richie Hawtin’s famous Minus imprint, Matador is beginning to forge a name for himself in the worlds of both production and live performance.
Following on from his stunning update to the Bryan Zentz classic ‘D-Clash', in the last year he has since dropped two superb EPs; 'Kingswing' and 'Spooks' and taken his live show to some of the world's biggest clubs and festivals.
In a world where house is king at the moment, it isn’t every day that Leeds plays hosts to such a straight up techno night and this is a rare opportunity for the techno lovers among you to revel in some the best about. Things continue to look good for the Dublin-based producer with more releases and big bookings on the cards for 2013 including the infamous Timewarp festival in Mannheim, Germany. With this in mind, I think it’s safe to say you won’t get another chance to catch Matador in an intimate club such as The Musiquarium any time soon.
Check out the video below recorded at Cocorico’ last August for a taste of what to expect from this man’s live set.
Tickets are limited to 250, so make sure you get yours soon to avoid any disappointment.
