Sankeys Ibiza unveil 2015 season plans

Sankeys Ibiza has enjoyed 4 incredible seasons since its opening in 2011, fast becoming one of the most talked about clubs on the island with residencies from a wide range of international music brands and promoters. The 2015 season is close to kick off point and the details of this years residents are now in the open, with a number of returning favourites and new additions set to open at the end of May, with one in particular causing serious stir amongst the clubbing population. Here we have the details of what you can expect throughout the season on Carrera De Las Alzines.

Mondays – CUFF

This year the week will be kicked off with G-house innovators Amine Edge & DANCE, whose CUFF imprint made a big impact last year when it made its way over to the white isle for the first time. Taking over Mondays at Sankeys Ibiza, their bass driven hip-hop offshoot of the house music sound has already proved a hit and will see just as much excitement returning to the club this year. Opening on the 25th of May, CUFF’s inaugural event of the season will welcome the label spearheads who will play alongside Sirus Hood and Stuff, with artists of the ilk of Stefano Ritteri, Sion, Clyde P, K-Lagane also making an appearance.

Tuesdays – TRIBAL SESSIONS

Tuesdays will play host to the legendary Sankeys born residency Tribal Sessions, which was reincarnated last year and has since blown up all over the globe. Having pioneered the outdoor festival concept now used worldwide, whilst also hosting the first ever legalized warehouse party in 2003, Tribal sessions is a clubbing icon, which is reflected in the calibre of guests that will be joining them on a weekly basis. Launching on the 26th of May, Tribal Sessions will be welcoming the cream of the crop from the worlds of house, techno and disco, with past guests including the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Shlomi Aber, Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke, Cesar Merveille, Andrea Oliva, Mr G and many more, this will be one of the pinnacle events of the Sankeys season once more.

Wednesdays – WE LOVE

As promoters change venues, days and plans, in one of the most exciting moves of the year Wednesdays at Sankeys Ibiza will now host We Love, another hugely influential party on the white isle and all over the globe, ran by Darren Hughes, an influential promoter for Sankeys owner himself David Vincent. Taking off on the 27th of May, We Love will take over the full club at Sankeys and will bring huge musical treats, jaw dropping production and exciting surprises. At their previous home in Space Ibiza, We Love welcomed swarms of world class guests that include James Zabiela, Loco Dice, Disclosure, Groove Armada, Joris Voorn, Âme, Carl Craig, Sasha, Derrick May, Chris Liebing, Visionquest and so many more. Expect similar vibes at their brand new home.

Thursdays – THE REDLIGHT

The Redlight will be launching at Sankeys on the 11th of June and will be focusing on mouth watering house and garage, inspired by David Vincent’s first ever party at The Haçienda called Colours. Taking its name from one of the original events at Sankeys Soap in Manchester, The Redlight was born out of Tribal Sessions and will be bringing US house superstars such as Roger Sanchez and Todd Terry to play alongside garage superstars like DJ EZ and MJ Cole. Underground house stars like Low Steppa and Tough Love will also play at The Redlight, not to mention the original residents Matt Jam Lamont and Sam Holt.

Fridays – SHELTER

Shelter is the brand new series of events spawned by the creative minds behind The Ibiza Rocks Hotel and their W.A.R! parties. Celebrating their 10th year this year, The Ibiza Rocks Brand is embarking on its most ambitious season yet, with Shelter allowing the brand to delve deep into the world of electronic music, showcasing their leading names every Friday in Sankeys Ibiza’s basement. Launching on May the 22nd, Shelter will welcome Ibiza Rocks resident Doorly for regular appearances who will be joined by a series of guests that include Disciples, Eli & Fur, Waze & Odyssey, PBR Streetgang and Chris Lorenzo as well as a number of label showcases from Food Music, Bugged Out, Moda Black, Bondax & Friends and more.

Saturdays – MAGNA CARTA

Mangna Carta is returning for 2015 after a storming season last year. May 23rd will be their first event of the season and will be sound tracked by Alex Arnout, East End Dubs, Igluu and Mineo. Magna Carta’s festival sized events in London at Studio338 in particular have gone down as some of the cities most exciting, with the devoted team behind these adventurous and musically on point events now preparing to take over Sankeys Ibiza every Saturday. Expect to see guests such as Cera Alba, Max Chapman, Josh Butler, Leftwing & Kody, No Artifical Colours, Ramon Tapia, Dale Howard and Proudly People.

Sundays – VIVA WARRIORS

Returning for its 3rd season, VIVa Warriors has been a staple part of Sankeys Ibiza since their first appearance on the island, this year taking over a number of the clubs rooms every Sunday. Steve Lawler’s VIVa MUSiC label and the VIVa Warriors outfit which is now an internationally touring series of events has seen some unparalleled guests over the years and a tight group of residents who have proved year upon year that VIVa Warriors is one of Sankeys highest flying flags. VIVa’s opening party will take place on the 31st of May this year and the 20-week series will welcome guests of the ilk of Andrea Oliva, Denney, Guti, Moodymann, Nick Curly, Robert Dietz, Yousef, System2, Philip Bader, Monika Kruse and Hot Since 82.
