2013 marked the first year that Sasha hosted his Last Night On Earth NYE show in the London borough of Brixton. This year he will be returning to the capital to showcase his hugely in demand label once more, however this time the limelight will be firmly upon The Electric Brixton.
After the previous two years that have seen Sasha play alongside the likes of Hot Since 82, Guy Gerber, Nic Fanciulli, Laura Jones and a number of others, this year the Brit will step up to the plate on his own to perform all night long. To be able to play an all night long set a DJ must have 3 things: A hugely extensive record collection that can accommodate any crowd, endurance that can see through near 10 hours of performance and finally, a huge amount of skill at creating a journey that will keep a room full of people involved. It is more than safe to say that Sasha has all three.
Last Night On Earth was established in 2011 with the huge debut release Cut Me Down, which became one of the most heard club tracks all over the globe the following summer. Since then the label has signed music from the likes of MANDY, James Teej, My Favourite Robot, Max Cooper, Hot Chip, Timo Maas and Joel Mull, with a huge variety of sounds under its hood, which is exactly the kind of expansive choice an all night long performance will need.
Over the past couple of years Last Night On Earth has been a pinnacle label in London clubbing, with the New Years Eve parties and the stages at South West Four being some of the standout musical highlights of each year. Some may have been to see Sasha’s legendary eight hour set at The Loft Studios; those that were there will be able to attest to how special this night will be.
