Rise Festival in Mont-de-Lans has announced its lineup for 2016, with Seth Troxler and Kano headlining a bill that also includes Jackmaster, Fred V & Grafix, Midland and a bunch of other stars. Taking place from Saturday 10th December until the 19th, the snowtop festival will bring a combination of music, adventure and wellbeing activities to the Les Deux Alpes ski resort this Winter.
Back for its third year, Rise Festival is a creation of Wasteland Ski and Running Wild, and the two groups have all but perfected the art of using mountainside parties to protect attendees against the dreary cold of winter. A picturesque scene provides a spectacular backdrop to some of the biggest DJs from near and far, so it should be no surprise that the festival has earned rave reviews in previous years.
A strong set of bookings sets 2016 up as the strongest Rise Festival yet, with a sample of the names coming in including dubstep pioneer Artwork, future garage duo Bondax and Hot Creations’ Richy Ahmed. With Monki, Artful Dodger and more also in attendance, the festival will cover all the big genres in UK underground dance music, with techno, house, garage and DnB all well represented by the wide-ranging lineup. Grime from Kano and the tech house selections of Seth Troxler will take up the headline slots, so clearly the Rise organisers have set their sights especially high for this one.
