Tobacco Dock in London has become one of the staple venues for hosting some of the biggest line-ups that descend upon the capital. With a number of rooms that each hold near to or exceeding 1000 clubbers, the potential for jaw dropping line ups is most certainly at a high.
The day after New Years Day on Saturday 2nd January, LWE will take over Tobacco Dock as The Smile High Club. Here there will be a long line of DJs encompassing many styles completing a slightly late, but exceedingly exciting introduction to 2016.
Headlining the bill will be one of the most famous British DJs in the history of dance. We are of course talking about Fatboy Slim. As the producer of countless chart topping dance records including Praise You, Rockefeller Skank, Right Here Right Now and Star 69, Fatboy Slim is among the list of living legends. Fatboy Slim has taken to the EDM explosion with his newest single Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat and a number of parties around the world this summer, selling out each one.
2ManyDJs will also be paying at Smile High Club, a duo of a similar calibre to Tobacco Docks headliner on January 2nd. Known for their DJ mixes under this name and their Soulwax moniker, 2ManyDJs give a gritty edge to some of todays most popular alternative bands in re-edits that rethink their tracks into hugely danceable extended versions, one in particular being Fatboy Slim’s own Hey Boy, Hey Girl.
Also on the line up will be cutting edge new school deejays Secondcity and Breach, not to mention Bugged Out favourite Erol Alkan. Following on we have Cyril Hahn, Ben Pearce, PBR Streetgang, Severino, Pandora Drive, Theo Kottis and many more TBA.
