Having been absent from the Leeds club scene for some time, it’s with excitement that Soak has announced its return to the city on the 27th of February. Having thrown parties across the North, most notably at Leeds’ Corn Exchange, Soak became renowned for US house music alongside its sister techno club counterpart Kaos.
For the first time in over twenty years, Soak will return to host a party at Mint Club, inviting New York house master Angel Moraes to headline proceedings with British house veteran Justin Robertson. With tracks such as Release Yourself and the classic dub mix of Welcome To The Factory, Angel Moraes broke new ground during his early years in creating some deeply industrial house music that gave him recognition worldwide. Justin Robertson should be no stranger to the accustomed house music fan as he has earned his stripes through building a strong reputation through the North’s legendary history in house music. First starting work at Eastern Block records in Manchester and later remixing Finitribe and SLD, his knowledge of music became unparalleled and is now one of the UK’s finest DJs.
Long standing Cream resident Paul Bleasdale and Love To Be’s Tony Walker will also be joining Soak at Mint Club, not to mention their ever present resident, Marshall.
