On Saturday the 26th of July, prosperous Manchester clubbing brands Trof and Covert bring Solomun’s Diynamic label to Manchester for a showcase at The Albert Hall. Joining the masses of clubbers will of course be the label spearhead together with a number of other guests who are highly reckoned with the label.
As an imprint, Diynamic has been at the forefront of underground house music for the past few years, with its recent releases such as NTFO and Karmon’s ‘Metropolis’ becoming highlights in the sets of many DJs. On the white Isle of Ibiza, Diynamic have hosted weekly residencies at Sankeys Ibiza and most recently Cova Santa, which has been the labels home this year. At the reins of the operation is Solomun, the multi award winning DJ and producer who is the labels head, and the headliner of this showcase at The Albert Hall.
The first to join Solomun will be H.O.S.H. In a similar fashion, H.O.S.H has been renowned for his back to back sets with Solomun that have stole the show at many venues Diynamic has visited prior to this event. Donning an innately disco infected sound, H.O.S.H fits the bill perfectly, and with a host of original material as well as collaborations with the likes of Stimming, Uner and NTFO his musical variety will be keeping things super fresh. Next up is Adriatique, the duo from Zurich whose differences in musical tastes have created a variety of different sounding releases that have been seen on Diynamic as well as their sub label 2DIY4.
Thyladomid is the next artist to join the Diynamic Showcase line up, who was first tipped back in 2010 when he released ‘The Voice’, his track that featured the lyrics from Nina Simone’s ‘Feeling Good’. After being heard in clubs up and down the country this continued through his releases on 2DIY4, Diynamic and Off Recordings. The final addition is Magdalena who has been hosting the Diynamic radio show for the past few months. The variety of music found here too rounds off what is a great line up that should see a wide assortment of musical styles ensure an exciting experience throughout the whole night.
