Since launching a few years ago, Steve Lawler’s VIVa Warriors have travelled to and torn up almost every reputable club in the UK, not to mention the mark they have left on the white isle, as the imprints continued residency at Sankeys Ibiza is more than a well-celebrated party on the island. In December, the warriors will be taking up arms in Leeds and Liverpool, where the label head honcho will be joined by a selection of fine talent from the VIVa roster.
Looking towards Leeds, their taste will be given on the 6th of December at a venue which has been a favourite of Steve’s for sometime with a previous 3 VIVa showcases have been held there. We are of course talking about the 35-year-old venue, The Warehouse (tickets on sale now). Steve Lawler (pictured above at VIVa Warriors last showcase at The Warehouse, Leeds - March 2014) will of course be headlining proceedings, joined by the femme fatale duo that is Anek. This year Anek have been key members in the VIVa crew as they have been the hosts of the VIVa Warriors radio show and also regular players during the labels Ibiza residency at Sankeys. Cera Alba and System2 finish off the bill.
The week after the show in Leeds, on the 12th of December Steve will be travelling to The Garage in Liverpool, where Freeze will be hosting proceedings (tickets on sale now). He will be joined once again by Denney, plus two other artists in Nick Curly and Jemmy. Nick Curly is a well travelled artist whose own imprint Trust has caused a big stir this year with quality parties at Sonar, Mint Club and Watergate in Berlin amongst other revered worldwide venues. Aside from his new series of parties, Nick is also the boss of the well-respected label 8Bit that has released music from the likes of Tania Vulcano, Sidney Charles and Gorge. Finally, Freeze resident Jemmy will be completing the line up and sealing the deal on what is another impressive looking night for VIVa Warriors.
