Having launched in March with Marcus Worgull at Wire, Tempus instantly made a mark on the midweek club scene in Leeds and are doing the same on June 2nd with their second show, this time inviting the Berlin based DJ Baikal for guest duties.
Named after the largest freshwater lake in the world, the German native is akin to layered, soulful house and techno, with his first material getting his instant exposure having landed releases on Innervisions and also on Maeve, which are two impressive labels to get onto at just a few releases. Tempus will be changing things up this month as they move to the new Leeds venue The Old Red Bus Station, which holds home on Vicar Lane. This raw warehouse space doubles as both a bar and a club, having already brought a number of promoters to its doors for its stripped back décor that lends itself greatly to sounds like these.
Main room support will come from the York based DJ Valka, an up and coming producer who’s tracks have already been supported by a number of DJs on the imprints mentioned above, setting him up for big things to come. Room 2 will be hosted by LOOPHOLE, who visually stimulating parties have drawn attention from far and wide.
