London’s leading dance music festival South West Four have announced the first wave of artists who will be playing over August Bank Holiday Weekend this year at Clapham Common in London.
Headlining the bill will be British dance stalwarts The Chemical Brothers. Last year the Manchester duo consisting of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons topped the bill on Glastonbury’s Other Stage and put in one of the highlight performances of the festival, with their pioneering electronic music being heard alongside some of the most stunning visuals that have been ever seen in dance music. This performance alone is enough to get anyone excited about The Chemical Brothers’ appearance at SW4 this year, with their eighth album Born In The Echoes also continuing their influential run of records. Be sure that this headline performance will see the evolution of this audio-visual treat in becoming something even more special.
The Chemical Brothers are far from alone on this first phase announcement as another live group of humungous influence, this time from Germany, will also be appearing, Booka Shade. Drumcode staple Joseph Capriati, Last Night On Earth spearhead Sasha, Cocoon boss Sven Väth, Hunter/Game and Recondite (Live) will also be appearing.
Stay tuned for further announcement as there are still over 30 more acts to be announced, who will play over 4 stage in what is London biggest and best annual dance gathering.
