SubDub is one of the longest running and most revered parties in the whole of the UK, dedicated to showcasing the best home made sound systems and DJs the world has to offer. Formed out of the friendship between The Iration Steppas (more specifically its founding member Mark Iration) and promoter Simon Scott, SubDub was born in the 90’s with the intention of spreading the group’s love of reggae sound system music to the corners of the country and beyond.
On December 4th and 5th, SubDub will host a weekend long party at their spiritual home, The West Indian Centre, which is located just outside Leeds’ city centre. The whole party will be sound tracked as always by The Iration Steppas Sound System, which will show its full potential with selectors such as Alpha & Omega, Alpha Steppa, Jonah Dan and Kenny Knots at the controls on the first night. On the second night, SubDub will also welcome another one of the UK’s most appraised sound systems in Mungo’s HiFi, which will be worked alongside the Iration Steppas own by Charlie P and Dan Man.
The West Indian Centre will also have room 2 open on both nights, with the first of the two parts welcoming none other than Mala & Coki AKA Digital Mystikz, as well as Hatcha, Youngsta, Jack Sparrow, TMSV and SP:MC. The second night will see room 2 hosted by Exit Records, who will be represented by dBridge, Zed Bias, Fracture, Fixate and SP:MC once again.
With full décor adorning the venue and the Sweet Potato Sound System featuring in room 2, this will be one of SubDub’s biggest parties of the year.
