It’s almost time for the Transmission to begin. As we approach Transmission’s launch in January we have been treated to the first two line-ups that will be taking over The Albert Hall as part of this new events series taking place from January to April. Beginning on the 23rd of January, we will be treated to an awesome running of events bringing us everything from house to techno, drum & bass to reggae and much more.
For the inaugural event on the 23rd, Transmission will be welcoming none other than David Rodigan to The Albert Hall. Joined by his famous Ram Jam party and in association with Snowbombing, he will come alongside a shed load of guests who will be on hand to get the party started. The likes of garage hero Shy FX will be heading up the bill, as well as drum & bass don DJ Hype, grime lad Toddla T and The Streets’ Mike Skinner, not to mention Randall, Wookie, The Venum Soundsystem and a number of live MCs.
The second event will take place the day after on Saturday the 24th of January and will be turning the focus on to top quality house and techno. The host for the night… Steve Lawler and his VIVa Warriors. After another amazing year at Sankeys Ibiza as weekly residents, Steve is back from the White Isle taking his brand around the UK, and it wouldn’t be right if they didn’t pay a few visits to Manchester, which is exactly what they’re doing. Headed up by the main man himself, Steve will be joined by Chicago house legend Derrick Carter as well as Innervision co-founder Âme and VIVa residents Detlef and System2.
These are two great parties to kick of Transmission at The Albert Hall's winter/spring events series, and considering the calibre of these guests, we can’t wait to see what else is in the pipeline.
