36 Stoke Newington Road
Opening at the back end of 2010 courtesy of the guys behind The Old Queen's Head and Paradise by Way of Kensal Green, Dalston was graced with a new intimate basement club with a cosy 350 capacity. The reduced capacity, creative minds behind the project and a loyal following of regulars made for a special atmosphere to enjoy the forward thinking lineups the club were presenting.
Moving on through the years the club has developed into a highlight of the London scene with an incredible Martin Audio Sound System, know by many to be the meatiest in the city – excluding Fabric of course. Adding to the atmosphere, the décor sees exposed brickwork, seated booths, downplayed lighting and quirky additions like gas masks behind the bar featuring within the venue.
Showcasing some of the biggest promoters, labels and DJs available, The Nest will see the likes of Kolsch (Live), Francesca Lombardo, Isaac Tichauer, T. Williams, MJ Cole, No Regular Play and more play over the coming months with Goldie, Brondinski, Plump DJs, Jeremy Underground Paris, Zed Bias, Jimmy Edgar, Aeroplane and more having already graced the decks early this year.
