The Mondays defined an era, becoming synonymous with the late 80s and early 90s scene in Manchester. The debut album ‘Squirrel and G-Man Twenty Four Hour Party People Plastic Face Carnt Smile (White Out)’, produced by Velvet Underground’s John Cale saw them explode onto the scene before following it up with their second album ‘Bummed’ and their huge number 1 album, ‘Pills, Thrills and Bellyaches’. The band’s recent reform is the first time the full compliment of members are all back together and they’re enjoying it even more than the first time round.
Support on the night will come from a second Manchester group who’s work has become imprinted on the city’s legacy within dance music, 808 State - who will bring a rare live performance for the occasion. With the night being kicked off with DJ sets from Justin Robertson and Warehouse Project resident, Krysko.
