Skepta Talks Grime Revival, Internal Battles and His New Album Konnichiwa In BBC Radio 1Xtra Interview with DJ Semtex

Skepta’s new album Konnichiwa hit the shelves a couple of weeks ago, with his efforts to revive the grime sound in the past few years having proved overly successful all over, with so many new artists surfacing and older artists coming back in recent months. In a recent interview with DJ Semtex for BBC Radio 1Xtra, Skepta talks all about the new LP, as well as his life growing up in North London, his early music, the UK rap scene, Dizzee Rascal and Drake.

Konnichiwa is currently staying strong at the number 2 spot in The UK Album Chart and features collaborative tracks with Pharrell Williams, D Double E, JME, Wiley and Shorty, Frisco and Jammer from the BBK crew. Over the course of the festival season you will be able to see Skepta at a number of locations in the UK and beyond, those including Parklife Festival, Field Day and Hideout Festival in Croatia.
