Over the course of 2015, London rapper stormzy went from a breakthrough artist to one of the most in demand names, taking the media by literal storm with one the biggest songs of the year as well as a formidable live presence. Having been riding the wave of a grime resurgence as well as the success of his top 10 hit Shut Up, Stormzy is in great shape to continue begin the new year just how the previous one left off.
To mark his emergence onto the bigtime in such whirlwind fashion, the BBC have released a video documenting his journey. Entitled Where It Began, The short film contains clips from Stormzy’s attention grabbing debt performance in the Live Lounge as well as his appearance at BBC 1xtra live, arguably two moments in which the grime superstar announced himself onto the scene in memorable fashion
You can catch Stormzy laying it down at Chibuku in Liverpool and #MERKY at Canal Mills, Leeds this on the 6th of February as well as a number of festivals this summer including Lost & Found, Hideout and Exit.
